4lbs Plums
1 1/2lbs Sugar
1 Teaspoon clove, ground
1 Teaspoon ginger, ground
1 Teaspoon salt
1 Teaspoon cayenne pepper (or to taste)
2 Pints vinegar
2 Ounces garlic
Method
1. Boil all for 2 hours, Skim off stones. Put through a sieve and pour into air tight bottles or jars.
